Yes. You can transfer your PrEP monitoring to Prelib. PrEP Solution is available and accessible via our online questionnaire, which you can fill out in your MyPrelib profile.
When the question comes up in the online form, simply mention that you are already taking PrEP. You can then make a phone appointment with our pharmacist to activate your PrEP.
After completing the questionnaire and indicating that you are interested in PrEP, you will be able to schedule a phone appointment with a participating pharmacist who will provide you with all the information you need and recommend a PrEP solution adapted to your needs if a prescription is in fact recommended.
During your phone appointment with a participating pharmacist, they will address how PrEP works, make sure it is safe for you to take, and verify that you have no contraindications. The pharmacist will also help you make an informed decision and explain the next steps, including the follow-up screening appointments you will need to make, and note your delivery preference.
Participating pharmacists work at the Village Pharmacy, in the heart of Montreal’s Inclusive District. This pharmacy specializes in PrEP solutions and is sensitive to 2SLGBTQIA+ issues.
In Quebec, general practitioners and certain specialists can prescribe PrEP. You can discuss it with your family doctor. If you don’t have one or prefer an alternative, you can also visit sexual health clinics or a SIDEP+ (HIV prevention organization).
During your initial assessment, screening tests will be recommended to you based on the answers you provided in your online questionnaire. More specifically, you will have to take an HIV test to confirm that you are not HIV-positive, because PrEP should not be taken by people who are HIV-positive. If you receive a positive test result, we will redirect you to the appropriate treatment.
If you do not wish to obtain PrEP via OFI, you can still make an STBBI screening appointment via your MyPrelib profile and then get PrEP at the medical clinic or pharmacy of your choice.
The initial assessment and follow-up screenings for sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) are to:

Your test results and all the information related to your file are available online on the MyPrelib platform.
